After leaving (h/h/t) best friend high and dry, Jayda Jessey, a confrontational pediatrician from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, winds up in a mysterious tool shed in a neighbor’s backyard and must overcome (his/her/their) struggle with apathy in order to learn to trust others and find information that brings a criminal to justice.
